ABOUT Radiant Institute Of Health Sciences Islamabad

Radiant Institute of Health Sciences is situated in heart of capital city; it is a private, non-profit, specialized nursing college offering upper division undergraduate nursing program. The colleges of nursing programs are affiliated with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad, and affiliated with Quaid-e-Azam Hospital, Islamabad for clinical practicum. Radiant Institute of Health Sciences will prepare the next generation of providers, leaders, researchers and policy makers to improve healthcare delivery, promote nursing excellence, revolutionize health care and promote the highest levels of wellness. Nursing is a unique profession, whose primary focus is caring the sick and managing the preventive, promotive and rehabilitative health needs of patients. Nursing is growing with current trends and technologies in health care system. Today, nursing is also influenced by consumer’s awareness, patient rights and health care cost. Scientific advancement in healthcare system and research made today’s nursing to focus on evidence based nursing practice. The turbulent swirl of change within this country’s health care industry has provided challenges and opportunities for nursing. Competent nurses are in demand all over the world. The graduate nurses from Radiant Institute of Health Sciences will be a part of this global phenomenon.  In the past, the nurse was simply a person trained to perform specific task. Later, nursing was recognized as a professional demanded quality care. Today’s nurse is also influenced by consumer’s awareness, patients rights’, rising health care cost, health promotion and evidence based practice. Nursing is a growing with current trends and technology.

Patient care is the main focus of this modern world and nurses play a vital role in health care system. Therefore, competent nurses are in demand all over the world. According to a recent survey of World Health Organization (WHO) estimates a shortage of almost 4.3 million nurses, physicians and other health human resources worldwide. The graduate nurses from our Radiant Institute of Health Sciences will be part of this global phenomenon.

Radiant Institute of Health Sciences will be nationally recognized for innovative programs in nursing education and collaborative, interdisciplinary partnerships that improve the way health care is provided in underserved communities as well as for research that advances nursing science. Our intent is to improve the health and well-being of citizens in the region and around the world.

Our Goal

The goals of the Radiant Institute of Health Sciences are the following.

  • To prepare qualified men and women for leadership roles in basic and advanced professional nursing practice in a rapidly changing, multicultural, multiethnic, global environment.

  • To promote, expand and validate the scientific base of nursing knowledge and practice through the discovery, organization and transmission of research-based knowledge, skills and values.

  • To collaborate with local, national and international health care agencies in promoting excellence through cost-effective, accessible, equitable and humanistic health care delivery systems for divergent individuals, families and communities.

  • To ensure teaching excellence to prepare nurses and leaders, locally and globally, provide evidence-based patient-centered care.  

  • To create an environment supporting the College mission, vision, and achieving the goals.
